I went shopping for some craft supplies yesterday and found more than I could afford! One of the places I went is having a huge sale on Saturday so you can bet I’ll be returning. :D

The more experience I gain with jewelry making the more I can’t wait to open a shop here at Mod Gerl. I think I’ll make that one of my many goals this year.

Have you been to jewelry wholesaler? They have a ton of jewelry at really great prices… perfect if you are going to open an online or physical boutique. They have already made earrings, necklaces, headbands and more. It would be a great way to supplement inventory until I can make enough of my own! That site is definitely going in the bookmarks!

Where is your favorite craft store in your city? I have hit up a few here in town lately. We have a couple of independently owned stores downtown (Like Chevron Trading Post — you can play with the shop kitty while you browse the beads!! :D) as well as the usual Michaels & A.C. Moore.

Where do you find the best DIY loot online? I’ve been surfing around looking for unique items to incorporate into my jewelry making so let me know your favorite spots to purchase from! :D

I’ve been meaning to blog about this for a while now. I have really bad credit due to being awarded a credit card with a $7000 limit. This was my first credit card when I was 18. To this day I still believe someone accidentally added on that last zero! haha

Needless to say I wasn’t as frugal as I could have been and it was a hard lesson learned. Last Dec I found this site: bad credit credit cards and applied for one of the credit cards listed there. Some of them are similar to debit cards in the sense that you have to pre pay. Some work just like regular cards. And some even report to credit bureaus to help you build your credit back up.

I’m finally getting around to posting the pics of my moms birthday present. I decided I’d make her a card and a necklace. I’m pretty new at making necklaces. I used to do a lot of beading when I was in junior high but have long since forgotten how the hell to do it!

The inside of the car.. and the necklace! It was nothing like my original idea but I was pressed for time and could not find a decent “J” charm anywhere. I think it turned out pretty good though (for a first try) and she loved it!


In the beginning they were supposed to be matching.. but again, no amazing “J” charm.. blah! So after coming across this lovely martini glass charm, well, I just couldn’t resist.

I just found this website, Color on Pro, it’s instant eyeshadow! They even have neat patterns like leopard print, zebra and camoflague (wtf?). You can get instantly perfect smoky eyes.

They are kind of expensive but could be helpful when you are in a hurry! Or if you have trouble perfecting your favorite shadow looks. The zebra shadow could be fun for dressing up and going to your local 80s night! :) Check out the site… post reviews if you’ve tried them already.
